The Office of Evaluation was established in the early 1990s as an expression for the increased importance assigned to quality issues in the deregulated university sector.
The Office of Evaluation assists faculties and departments in the tasks of evaluation for quality assurance and improvement of the various study programmes offered by the university. The university's programme for evaluation is oriented towards furthering quality enhancement.
The experts at the Office of Evaluation contribute to the strategic development work at the institutional level. The recurrent Student Barometers (satisfaction surveys) regularly approach students, university teachers and other stakeholders.
The Office of Evaluation also provides secretarial assistance to the Education Committee, which is responsible for coordinating quality efforts within the university.
Furthermore, the Office takes active interest in cooperating with universities, within and outside the country. It takes part in the national and international development work in the higher education area, including exchange of knowledge, methods, findings and contacts.
The staff of the Office of Evaluation is highly qualified with long and varied experience of performing assessments and evaluations in higher education.
