Leave without reduction in salary


If the University awards you leave other than annual leave, you generally get a reduction in salary. The reduction varies in size according to the reason for the leave.

In certain cases of leave, however, you receive your salary with no reduction:

  • visits to a doctor, to the University’s occupational health service, to outpatient care or maternity care and for blood donation
  • emergency dental care and examination or treatment after referral from a dentist or doctor
  • visits to the University’s human resources consultant
  • cases of serious illness, deaths, funerals within your immediate family or among close relatives (maximum 10 days)
  • moving house, if a relocation allowance is paid out (maximum 3 days)
  • moving house in other cases (one day)
  • trade union assignments (maximum 10 days per calendar year. This does not apply to leave under the Trade Union Representatives (Status at the workplace) Act and the agreement on trade union representatives)
  • graduation and examinations (maximum 5 days per calendar year)
