Salaries and benefits at Lund University are as a rule regulated by the General Agreement on Pay and Benefits for Government Employees (ALFA). The agreement regulates the right to pay during certain types of leave and the applicable salary deductions during illness, among other things.
Certain types of benefits and compensation are regulated by local collective agreements, decisions and guidelines.
Salary matters at Lund University are administered by the Salary Office which is responsible for registering and paying salaries and has an advisory function in matters pertaining to salary agreements (ALFA, general insurance issues, taxation rules, etc).
The Salary Office will also issue certificates of salary and employment, on request.
